"COPYCAT" is the opening track on Billie Eilish's debut EP, dont smile at me. It serves as the fourth single on the EP, releasing on July 13, 2017.
The Sofi Tukker remix was later officially released on Eilish's YouTube channel on January 11, 2018.
Background[]
Eilish previously mentioned in an interview with Genius that she had written the song with her brother about a girl who had been copying her, in her eyes. She said, "I write with my brother mostly. That song, we were just in his room, and I was like, 'Yo! There's this fucking girl and she keeps doing everything that I do. And I want to write about it.' Because it was in my mind. A lot."[1]

- The line, "Why so sad, bunny, you can't have mine?" used to be, "Fuck all that, bitch you can't have mine"[2], but it was changed due to Eilish's younger audience at the time.
- However, the original line was previously performed live.
- Eilish has stated in the past that was her favorite song that she had released.
